Update on WHRFC’s 1994 scholarship recipient Dr. Lynda Balneaves

WHRFC’s 1994 scholarship recipient was Dr. Lynda Balneaves whose research topic was ‘the use of alternative treatments of women diagnosed with breast cancer.’ Recently, Dr. Balneaves was appointed as the Director of the Centre for Integrative Medicine (CIM) at the University of Toronto. The announcement is highlighted in the first two links noted below. The third link is a recent review authored by L. Weeks, L. Balneaves, C. Paterson, and M. Verhoef. The articled is titled ‘Decision-making about complementary and alternative medicine by cancer patients: integrative literature review.
