Rebecca Metcalfe, a PhD student at the University of British Columbia School of Population and Public Health won the WHRFC Silver Award for women’s health research at the virtual competition held in June. The Title of her project was “Integrating Patient Values into Clinical Trials Using Composite Endpoints: A Case Study Using the Control of Hypertension in Pregnancy Study”. Her Supervisor is Dr. Nick Bansback.

During the last weekend in April a virtual MSSS was held. The WHRFC awarded one prize to two sisters in the Elementary category. Their project title was “3D Prototyping an Alternative Reusable Mask for Kids” which would help protect kids from COVID-19 and also teachers, 88% of whom are women.
